Rescue Alert Medication Dispenser
Rescue Alert offers a convenient medication dispenser or MedReady. The MedReady’s offers an additional service in cases which the user is supposed to take multiple medications at several doses per day. Most seniors, especially those who suffer from cognitive impairment, find it difficult to remember when and which medicines to take.
The MedReady allows the senior’s caregiver to plan the dispensation of medicines by up to 28 days in advance. The device contains 28 slots that can hold medication, which can then be programmed to dispense medicines up to four times a day, seven days a week. You only fill up the medication slots as needed (from 1 to 28), program it to produce a medical alert on the scheduled time of dispension. The dispenser produces a distinct beep that does not stop until the medication is ingested.
The MedReady device has safety locking features that prevent anyone else from tampering or changing the medication, or to dangerously exceed the proper dosing. It is also equipped with its own clock to ensure accurate scheduling and medicine dispensation.
Rescue Alert of California offers the MedReady as a separate product or as part of its medical alarm system service.

If you are already a subscriber of the company’s medical alert system, you can opt to integrate MedReady into your existing subscription. The MedReady system works well with the RA400, as the respective wireless and advanced technological features of these two product are completely compatible with one another. A wireless transmitter is mounted in the MedReady medication dispenser, which alerts the RA400 if the scheduled medicine dispensation does not occur at the appointed time. The MedReady also alerts the RA400 if the medication is not ingested within 30 minutes after the first alarm is sounded. Afterwards, if no response from the customer is received, the RA400 then automatically notifies the response center about the lapse. A designated attendant or care specialist promptly contacts the subscriber through the emergency response unit or through regular telephone. If this attempt still fails (which may indicate that a medical emergency may have occurred), a medical response team is dispatched.
The MedReady is a perfect complement to Rescue Alert of California’s other existing products, primarily its medical alert system, especially for those subscribers who must take their maintenance medicines on time.

Monitored System Package:
The monitored system program involves a medication dispenser service and an RA400. The monitored system performs in conjunction with the medical alarm. This partnership allows the response center to exceed by sending reminders of the medication to the subscriber.
